📊 Budget 2024: Major Boost for Education & Skills 🎓 £300m funding boost for Further Education 🏫 £6.7bn capital investment to modernize educational facilities 🆕 Skills England set to tackle economic inactivity 💰 £1bn investment in SEND support Key workforce measures: 📈 National Living Wage rising to £12.21 (6.7% increase) 👥 18-20 year olds minimum wage boosted to £10.00 🎯 Apprentice minimum wage increasing to £7.55 💼 Employment Allowance doubled to £10,500 Plus £20.4bn allocated for R&D by 2025-26, supporting STEM innovation and technical education. A new "Get Britain Working" White Paper coming soon to reform skills training and workforce development. A significant step forward for education, skills and employment - though sector leaders still noticing FE funding is lagging behind schools' £2.3bn settlement.
