A #CircularEconomyFuture is when manufacturing starts with intentional materials selection & product design so that everything made has a clear Circular Journey. This approach of strategic & intentional innovation has helped Silafrica go from 13% to crossing 32% in 2023, and on track to cross 40% by end of 2025 in the use of recycled plastics; and developed new products that replace single use packaging with returnable, reusable & recyclable plastic packaging. With Riz Khan moderating a panel of leaders from YPO, OQ & ladayn polymer park, we had a great conversation about how getting to hashtag #CircularEconomy is a Team Sport. Thank you to Aaditya Khimji, Shayan N. Sumar, HH Sayyid Tarik Al Said, HE Ali Al Sunaidy, Sabrina Al Bakri, Jacqui Kimmel and Riz Khan

Shout out Akshay Shah and the Silafrica team for driving this mission forward. There’s no question about the bad side of plastic however for many industries and jn packaging there are still no viable and affordable substitutes. That’s why post production re-use and circularity are so essential. Also great to have Kenya’s leading newspaper Nation Media Group share a small snippet of our family history! https://lnkd.in/d_PpU8QQ
