MaaS Operators MaaS operators provide the platforms and apps connecting services with users. Based on the provided data, it is clear that Vietnam's semiconductor industry lacks a key piece: midstream wafer manufacturing. The country's current semiconductor ecosystem is heavily focused on assembly, packaging, and testing services, with major players like Samsung, Intel, and Onsemi primarily engaged in these areas. Wafer manufacturing, however, is the most capital-intensive segment of the industry and requires extensive expertise in fields such as materials science and precision engineering. Vietnam's limited infrastructure and skilled workforce in this area mean that it has not yet developed a significant wafer fabrication capacity​. Therefore, wafer manufacturing remains the missing puzzle piece, essential for the country's long-term growth in the semiconductor value chain.
