The Daily Mirror adds that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will demand a fee of up to €150m (£128.7m) for the 27-year-old, but The Sun says that Real are prepared to wait until next year to land him on a free.
Spurs eye Gomes
If Christian Eriksen does leave Tottenham it will leave a hole in their midfield. One possible arrival is Barcelona’s André Gomes, who is currently on loan at Everton. (The Guardian)
Poch’s shortlist
After no signings in the past two transfer windows Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino will be given some budget this summer - but not as much as their rivals. André Gomes is a £30m target and also on Pochettino’s shortlist are Nice right-back Youcef Atal, Fulham winger Ryan Sessegnon and Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish. (The Daily Telegraph)
Ozil: I am happy at Arsenal
Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil says he is happy at the Emirates and wants to stay. The German said: “I’m 30 now, still got years in front of me, it’s down to the club as well of course, but I’ve got two years here - after that I don’t know what happens.” (Sky Sports)
Bernardo wants Felix at City
Manchester United are today linked with a move for Benfica starlet Joao Felix but Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva admits that he wants the 19-year-old to join him at the Etihad. (Metro)
Okazaki will leave as a ‘champion’
Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has paid tribute to Japanese forward Shinji Okazaki, who will leave the club this summer. Okazaki played a key role in Leicester’s Premier League title win in 2016 and Rodgers said: “He leaves a champion, as a legend in the club’s history. I have spoken to him and at this stage of his career he was wanting to have an opportunity to maybe play in Europe somewhere, with the opportunity to play as a striker. But his contribution at this club has been immense. He played a part in the great history here at Leicester City.” (Sky Sports)
Gray heading to Glasgow?
Watford striker Andre Gray is a target for Scottish giants Rangers. The 27-year-old could move north of the border on a loan deal. (The Herald)
Hudson-Odoi to United?
Journalist Guillem Balague claims that Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi is one player on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s radar for the Manchester United squad rebuild. Balague said: “What I’m hearing is they want to get players, the best players, of the Premier League away from the top six. And they want young [players] as well. Yes, they’re interested in [Callum] Hudson-Odoi, but not just him. They will not go for the bigger names, the biggest names. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer does not want superstars, so forget about that.” (Daily Star)
