You can organize your document with text styles like titles or headings.

Add a table of contents

You cannot insert a Table of contents on Android.

Make a title or heading

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open a document in the Google Docs app.
  2. Select the text you want to change.
  3. On the toolbar, tap Format Format.
  4. Tap TEXT and then Style.
  5. Tap a text style:
    • Normal text
    • Title
    • Subtitle
    • Heading 1-6
  6. The text style will be updated.
