Delete songs and other items in Music on Mac
In Music on Mac, delete songs, playlists, folders and other content. You can remove the items from your library or from your computer.
Go to the Music app on your Mac.
Click Songs in the sidebar, select the item you want to delete, then press the Delete key.
Click Delete Song, then do one of the following:
Remove the item only from your library: Click Keep File.
Delete the item from your computer: Click Move to Bin. The item is removed the next time you empty the Bin.
Note: If the song was immediately removed from your library (that is, you didn’t get the option to keep the file or move it to the Bin), you can add and download it from Apple Music again.
If you access your music library on multiple devices, songs you delete from your library are still available, so you can play or download them anytime.
If you can’t remove a song, make sure you didn’t select a song in a Smart Playlist with “Live updating” turned on.
