This Music Production Instructor position earns a competitive starting wage of $16 - $18 per hour, depending on experience.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MUSIC PRODUCTION INSTRUCTOR
As an instructor, you are responsible for fostering relationships, teaching skills, guiding creativity, and upholding consistent program expectations with adolescents in a therapeutic residential setting.
You will plan lessons based on music theory and teach instructional music production sessions.
Your attention to detail is vital skill as you take notes on student progress and behavior.
Our students are typically with us for 10-12 months, meaning our staff becomes a crucial aspect to the student's daily lives.
Classroom instructors provide support to the students, maintain a safe atmosphere, acknowledge 'wins', and lead by example on setting appropriate boundaries.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR MUSIC PRODUCTION INSTRUCTOR
20+ years of age
Ability to remain in control during stressful situations, and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Flexibility and the ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment
Understanding and practicing appropriate boundaries is essential
Valid Driver's License
Must be able to pass driving tests and remain up to date on required driving courses
Experience using a variety of Digital Audio Workstations (specifically Ableton)
Knowledge in a variety of musical areas such as; history, culture, and instruments
Undergraduate degree in music production (or equivalent experience)
Preferred Master's Degree in Music Production (or working toward Master Degree)
Although not required, it is a plus if you have experience working in a residential treatment center or the behavioral health field.

WORK SCHEDULE
Monuments Academy is looking for our music production instructor to be available 8:30am - 3:30pm on Fridays.
As well as a 12pm - 5pm shift (flexibility on which day) one set weekday, each week.
