We offer a wide range of dance classes for students of all ages and abilities, and we are currently seeking a passionate and energetic Dance Teacher to join our team.
*Position Overview: * We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Dance Teacher to lead our Mommy/Caregiver and Me and preschool dance classes for students aged 2-5 years old.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance, excellent communication skills, and a deep passion for working with young children.
This position provides an excellent opportunity to inspire and guide the next generation of dancers.
*Responsibilities:*
- Plan and deliver engaging and age-appropriate dance lessons for Mommy/Caregiver and Me classes and preschool dance classes.
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment where young children can explore movement and express themselves through dance.
- Incorporate music, creative movement, and imaginative play into lessons to captivate young dancers' imaginations.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that helps children build confidence and develop a love for dance.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during class.
- Communicate with parents and caregivers to provide updates on students' progress and studio events.
- Collaborate with other dance teachers and staff to coordinate performances, recitals, and special events.
- Create lesson plans specific to the age group teaching.
*Qualifications:*
- Bachlor's degree in Dance, Early Childhood Development, or similar field.
- 3 or more years of previous experience teaching ongoing dance classes to young children, specifically ages 2-5.
- Three or more years of previous experience leading Mommy or Caregiver and Me classes.
- A strong background in various dance styles and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience and a genuine love for working with young children.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
