Job Description:
Southern Utah University seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Athletic Training.
This is a full-time tenure track position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Teaching responsibilities will likely include graduate courses in general medical conditions, therapeutic modalities, and applications of EBP in Athletic Training within the Master of Athletic Training Program.
Other teaching responsibilities may also include undergraduate exercise science courses.
Maintain contemporary expertise in associated curricular content.
Maintain BOC certification, and Utah State Licensure.
Mentor MAT students with capstone research projects.
Assist MAT Program Director and Clinical Coordinator with various aspects of the MAT program.
Professional engagement, scholarly activity, service to the department, college and university are expected and required for rank advancement and tenure.
A strong desire to help students achieve and a commitment to academic excellence are essential.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Earned doctorate in athletic training, exercise science, kinesiology, or related fields.
ABD may be considered.
BOC Certification and Utah State Licensure.
Teaching is the primary responsibility; therefore, demonstration of successful teaching experience at the collegiate level.
