Special Education Teacher Assistant II (Part-Time, Max 29 Hours per Week)

George Washington Academy is currently looking to hire a Part-Time Teacher Assistant II for our Special Education program for the 2023-2024 school year at a maximum of 29 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
The GWA Teacher Assistant II will be an in-house substitute for our students in the Special Education Program and may long-term sub as needed.
As a Teacher Assistant II, you will perform duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students or parents.
You will serve in a position for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of educational programs and services.
An Associate's Degree, 48 credit hours, and/or Paraprofessional Test (PRAXIS) is required.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred and experience working with children is required.
Compensation is $16.
90 per hour.
All employees are required to pass a BCI background check at their own expense.
