About us

Industries Chimiques du Senegal (ICS) is the largest producer of phosphate fertilizer products in Sub-Saharan Africa. Indorama acquired ICS in 2014. The company began mining of phosphate rock in 1960 and production of phosphoric acid in 1984. ICS is the largest industrial complex in Senegal and consists of three sites. The mine site is located 100 km from the capital of Dakar and has extensive reserves of high quality phosphate ore. The phosphoric acid plants are located in Darou and have a production capacity of 600,000 tons per year. The downstream fertilizer plant is located in Mbao, which is close to Dakar. The fertilizer plant can produce 250,000 tons per year of DAP and NPK products. ICS has well integrated logistics, including access to the railway system, its own fleet of locomotives and wagons, and dedicated berth at Dakar port. ICS exports the majority of its phosphoric acid to India, while it sells its fertilizer products in West Africa and international markets.

📝✍️In the fabric of life, words like "love" and "hate" carry more than just their lexical meanings; they symbolize the dichotomy of emotions and choices that each of us faces. 🙏📚Some key takeaways/lessons to learn from this post are: ➡️This linguistic coincidence serves as a profound metaphor for the equilibrium of choices available to us. ➡️It's a reminder that for every negative impulse, there's an equally accessible positive counterpart. ➡️This little wordplay is more than just a quirky fact; it’s a powerful reminder that there exists a duality in life, we're often faced with a choice between two paths. And guess what? We have the power to choose positivity over negativity, love over hate. ➡️Choosing to be positive isn't about ignoring life's challenges. Instead, it's about facing them with a mindset that says, "I can grow from this." ➡️It’s choosing to see the good in people and situations, even when it’s easier not to. And let’s be real, sometimes choosing positivity feels like an uphill battle. But it’s worth it. Why? Because it leads to growth, happiness, and a life filled with meaningful connections. ➡️It's all about choices : Life throws us choices every single day. Will you snap back in anger, or respond with understanding? Will you dwell on a mistake, or learn from it and move on? These choices might seem small, but they add up, shaping who we are and how we experience the world. ➡️The better path isn't always the easiest: Choosing positivity doesn’t mean choosing the easy path. But quit often, it’s the harder one. It might mean being kind when you don’t feel like it, or staying hopeful in tough times.
