Big news for deep tech! Walden International and Nanyang Technological University Singapore have teamed up to launch a $50M fund to support innovative start-ups. With both contributing $5M, this partnership is designed to help businesses grow and advance research. At the launch, Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat emphasised the importance of this collaboration, noting that the support from Walden International will provide start-ups with invaluable market insights and networking opportunities—key drivers in growing both research and business capabilities. One of the start-ups poised to benefit from the Frontier Fund is Zero-Error Systems (ZES). A spin-off from NTU's Lean Launchpad, led by CEO Rajan Rajgopal, ZES is focused on developing radiation-resistant computer chips for satellites. Rajan Rajgopal says that ZES, backed by Airbus' investment arm, is now raising funds to expand its products and continue making strides in the deep tech space.
