  • Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) expresses cautious optimism for the 2025 F&B outlook, acknowledging that business prospects will likely affect all dining concepts, from fine dining establishments to casual eateries and kiosks. This emphasises the diversity of Singapore's culinary landscape, with fine dining concepts complementing other F&B offerings, therefore crucial to maintaining a vibrant and dynamic food scene. To help boost business, RAS advises fine dining restaurants to focus on several key strategies: ✅innovating with unique dining experiences, ✅ embracing technology for enhanced customer engagement, ✅ ensuring perceived value for the premium pricing, and ✅ building strong relationships with patrons. On the customer side, RAS also encourages diners to actively explore new fine dining options, share their positive experiences, appreciate the overall service and ambiance, and provide constructive feedback to our fine dining concepts, to ensure continual improvement. RAS reaffirms its commitment to supporting the entire F&B industry through collaborative efforts with all stakeholders nevertheless. #onevoiceforfnb https://lnkd.in/g3hUSPd5

  • Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) welcomes the Singapore Food Agency's (SFA) new policy allowing pets in Outdoor Refreshment Areas (ORAs) starting 1 January 2025. We would like to take this opportunity to emphasise the importance of continued observation of food safety protocols for all F&B outlets. While SFA approvals are no longer required, the RAS urges all members and the larger F&B community to follow the guidelines provided by SFA, ensuring clear signage, adequate hygiene facilities, and a comfortable dining experience for all patrons. RAS also encourages both pet owners and those who prefer pet-free environments to be respectful and understanding, fostering a harmonious dining experience for everyone. Gentle reminder: For halal-certified premises, pet dogs will continue to NOT be permitted, including at ORAs - please refer to the conditions on MUIS' HalalSG social media page ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dMyUwWux Full SFA Advisory can be found in comments below. https://lnkd.in/dvPaCR_p

  • The current weather patterns are typical of our year-end season ⛈️🌧️. While we acknowledge business impact, particularly in light of the robust post-pandemic travel recovery ✈️, as association standing behind all F&B folks in the industry, we would like to hold and encourage the view that this as an opportunity rather than a setback. Most of our innovative and creative F&B establishments would have been more than well-prepared to enhance the seasonal experience with their carefully curated offerings - from comforting hot chocolates and mulled wines to hearty hotpots and festive confections 🍫☕️🍲. The cool weather is nothing more than a great complement to these offerings perfectly ❄️. With Christmas and Chinese New Year in close succession 🎄🧧, consumers can look forward to an extended period of seasonal promotions and special menus. We encourage everyone to embrace this unique period - after all, there's something special about enjoying a warm meal while listening to the rain outside 🌧️. Coupled with the wet weather, we envision that deliveries will hike up. We urge consumers to practise patience and tolerance to drivers/riders due to potential delays and especially for riders to be more careful on the potential slippery roads. Let's make the most of this season - our RAS members and F&B establishments are ready to welcome guests for both indoor and weather-protected outdoor dining experiences! 🏪🍽️" - Wei Chan, Hon Secretary, RAS #onevoiceforfnb https://lnkd.in/gTtMdd_q
