Our Education Department have been in Manila for an incredible week at the #ASEFClassNet17 Conference on “Learning about AI and Learning with AI" at the Philippine Normal University! Over 100 outstanding educators from 33 Asian and European countries gathered to discuss transforming education to use AI support pedagogy and student success. Ambassador Beata STOCZYŃSKA, our Executive Director together with Ambassador Medardo G. MACARAIG, ASEF Governor for the Philippines, Dr Bert TUGA, President and Dr Marilyn U. BALAGTAS, Vice President for Academics of the Philippine Normal University (PNU), and John Carlo Ramos, Executive Director of the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN), warmly welcomed the participants on behalf of organisers and partners on Tuesday. With an outstanding cultural performance by the PNU students, the participants also got a glimpse of the local culture, diversity and tradition. Our sincere appreciation goes to the Philippines Normal University (PNU) and the Association of Southeast Asian Teacher Education Network (AsTEN) for hosting this event in the Philippines and to all the sponsors for their contribution: The Global Citizen Education Group, Technological University of the Philippines, Rizal Technological University, De La Salle Santiago Zobel School, Abiva Publishing House Inc, C&E Adaptive Learning Solutions. We are also delighted to benefit from the intellectual contribution of EdTech Marketplace - Asia and IRCAI - International Research Center on Artificial Intelligence under the auspices of UNESCO.
