Partnering with United Way of Greater Houston to Fight Food Insecurity in Houston As part of AET's year-long 30th Anniversary celebrations, we made three donations to non-profit organisations in Greater Houston and Galveston to support local communities. Among these organisations is United Way of Greater Houston, a valued partner with whom we have fostered a strong relationship that continues to open up meaningful volunteering opportunities for our team. Our US colleagues recently volunteered with United Way at the BakerRipley House to support families in need, joining dedicated volunteers to sort and bag fresh produce and essential food items which were then distributed to 147 families facing food insecurity. Raheem Stewart, Manager, Projects & Operations, said: “Participating in the AET-sponsored food distribution event with United Way was humbling and inspiring experience. It was a powerful reminder of how small, collective efforts can have a big impact. By working together to pack and distribute food, we not only addressed immediate needs but also offered families a sense of support and hope. I am grateful to have been part of this cause and to see the difference we can make as a team.” This experience brought our team closer and reinforced the value of coming together to support those in need. We look forward to our next #AETcares initiative and to continuing our efforts to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate. #AET #oneAET #communityinvestment #volunteering

Advancing Transparency: Insights on Effective Sanctions Risk Management As a member of MISC Group, we are deeply committed to fostering a culture of robust corporate governance and compliance. Collaboration and coordination across divisions is fundamental to managing risks effectively while we deliver shipping solutions to meet the world’s evolving energy needs. In Lloyd's List Intelligence's recent webinar, Innovative Approaches to Sanctions Risk Management, our Head of Integrity, Beaummont Tang, addressed some of the most pressing challenges facing the tanker sector in the sanctions space, particularly Deceptive Shipping Practices. Beaummont emphasised that effective sanctions management hinges on tight collaboration between Compliance and Commercial Operations teams. It allows the business to remain responsive to the changing sanctions landscape to ensure that systems are effective and efficient. We extend our thanks to Lloyd’s List Intelligence for hosting such an insightful session and to all attendees for participating in this session. Together, we can uphold and advance transparency and compliance standards across the shipping industry! Honouring unsung heroes at the Coast Guard Tribute Dinner On 21st November, we had the privilege of attending the ninth annual Texas Salutes the Coast Guard Tribute Dinner in Houston, an event that recognises the remarkable service of the men and women of the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG). In recognition of our long-standing partnership with the USCG, AET hosted a table and welcomed esteemed industry partners from across the energy sector. Reflecting on the evening, Capt. mitush chaudhary, Head of Commercial Operations, Mid-size Tankers, shared: “The USCG’s multi-faceted role not only enhances maritime safety and security but also contributes significantly to environmental conservation and disaster response, making them an invaluable part of our community. This annual foundation dinner is a powerful reminder of the dedication and sacrifices made by the unsung heroes of the USCG, and their families who support them. Their commitment ensures that our coastline and waters remain safe and prepared to respond to any emergency.” We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the USCG for their tireless efforts and the critical role they play in enabling AET to operate safely and securely. #AET #USCG #collaboration #partnership

AET rallies together to clean local beaches To mark International Coastal Cleanup Day, colleagues across the globe united for a series of impactful beach cleanups in Singapore, Rio, Galveston, and Brighton. We collected 99 kilograms of trash globally, which included cigarette butts, disposable plastics, straws and styrofoam packaging—common culprits of marine pollution. In London, four of our colleagues went to Brighton Beach to pick up litter and debris, while enjoying quality time together outdoors. Over in Houston and Galveston, colleagues were joined by their families to take part in the annual Adopt-A-Beach cleanup at Galveston Beach. They worked tirelessly in the scorching weather for almost two hours, picking up 2,410 trash items. It was a wonderful time of team bonding for a meaningful cause, which ended with a beachside team lunch. Meanwhile, in Rio, we partnered with the Dream Learn Work (DLW) Institute, a non-profit organisation providing education and employment opportunities to young professionals. The beach cleanup marked our first engagement with youth from DLW. It was an excellent way for our Rio team to engage with the youth from disadvantaged backgrounds while caring for the environment. We rounded up our efforts with our Singapore office colleagues partnering with Small Change (a local grassroots organisation) for the third year in a row, as well as with youth members from VOX @ Singapore Children's Society (a youth drop-in centre), to clean Changi Beach. We have been helping to keep Changi Beach clean annually since 2022. The participation by VOX’s youth members made it even more meaningful this year as it was a wonderful opportunity for our Singapore team to interact with these youth. Many thanks to Fathin Idris (AET Senior Executive, HSSE) and Capt. Sharif Mehedi Alam (MISC Marine Manager, Client Management), for sharing their maritime career experiences. We hope the youth were inspired! Thank you to all our enthusiastic colleagues who came together as #teamAET to make a tangible impact on our environment! #AET #BeachCleaning #YouthEngagement

18 Years of Environmental Excellence: AET recognised at the annual CSA Environmental Achievement Awards At the 2024 Chamber of Shipping of America (CSA) Environmental Achievement Awards, 49 of our vessels were recognised for their excellent record of environmental stewardship. This marks the 18th year that AET has received this distinction, reflecting our long-standing commitment to operational excellence and environmental responsibility. To qualify, vessels must meet strict criteria, including at least two years without reportable spills, U.S. Coast Guard or port state citations for MARPOL violations, or breaches of state or local pollution regulations. Capt. Ron Wood, Global Director, Commercial, said, “Receiving these awards highlights the dedication of our crew and team to operate responsibly while protecting the environment. It’s another step forward in our mission to deliver more energy with less emissions.” The awards were presented at CSA's annual dinner in Washington, DC, where Capt. Arip Ismail, Director of Commercial Operations, Mid-Size Tankers, hosted the table we sponsored. Maninder Grewal and Chief Engineer Mohiuddin Mohammed Sayem from MISC Marine represented the Group and accepted the awards on behalf of our team. Guests at the table included distinguished representatives from the US Coast Guard (USCG), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and other key government agencies, as well as industry leaders and ship operators.
