Why does the job exist?
The Administrative Services Bureau handles all financial transactions of the agency including travel, purchasing, procurement, grants management, reporting and the annual audit.
This position
will be responsible for deposits, journal entries; entry and monitoring of purchase orders and vouchers; other routine accounting and auditing functions.
How does it get done?
Responsibilities include completing accounting for deposits; enter general ledger and budget journal entries; processing and monitoring of purchase orders and vouchers; and assist with financial division functions.

Agency employees, DFA, and vendors interacting with the agency.
Ideal Candidate
someone who has SHARE knowledge and/or a subsidiary accounting system; Experience resolving SHARE related issues; Experience Reconciling to source documents; Ability to problem solve and resolve complex issues; Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines; Provide courteous and professional service; Experience Reconciling to source documents; Using Micro soft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer; Knowledge of the SHARE financial system.
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing or Business Administration and two (2) years directly related work experience in accounting, auditing, finance and/or budgeting.

Employment Requirements
Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Must Possess and maintain a current Defensive driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment.
Working Conditions
Office setting, exposure to Visual/Video Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting, including during public meetings and hearings.
Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
, and some sitting, standing, bending and reaching may be required.
Travel will be required, including occasional overnight trips, and candidates must have or be able to obtain a New Mexico driver's license in order to receive a certification to drive a state vehicle upon employment.
