Is responsible for scientific design, conduct and interpretation, presenting results and publishing manuscripts.
Responsibilities Qualifications Required An advanced degree in health (PhD, MD, PharmD) and at least 2 years of research experience in the healthcare field Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
Preferred Experience with writing and submitting federal grants to the National Institutes of Health and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality More than 10 peer-review publications in high quality medical-related journals.

Essential Functions Develops scientific research projects and may act as a co-principal investigator.
Researches and stays current with project related scientific literature.
Sets up new methods to accomplish scientific objectives.
Identifies and implements creative solutions to overcome problems.
Organizes, interprets data, and derives study conclusions.
Manages and trains research staff to achieve research goals.
Collaborates with internal and external investigators on multiple research projects ensuring scientific significance and feasibility.
Summarizes results of observational, evaluation and clinical studies in the form of scientific abstracts and manuscripts.
Serves as a resource to provide scientific information needed for various initiatives.
Contributes to teaching activities by preparing and presenting educational seminars.
Assists with grant preparation by researching background, significance, and planning statistics.
May attend national conferences and presents results of studies or evaluations.
This position may be involved with problems requiring modifications of scientific methods.
This position is required to efficiently manage research projects, research coordinators and associates and work with research team leadership to develop strategies.
