JOB SUMMARY: A highly analytical role with experience in business analytics and data mining/analysis, with strong technical skills.
This position will assist in providing business analytics for Codale Electric, specifically supporting the Company and customers.
Provides ad hoc analytics to support business needs including sales/program analysis, optimization, competitive industry, tracking analysis, and strategic analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Produce and analyze ongoing reporting for the organization including development, production and distribution of sales/outlook reports.
Create ad hoc analytics to assist in supporting business needs.
This includes sales/program analysis, optimization, competitive industry, tracking analysis, and strategic analysis requested by the business.
Present analysis and findings clearly and logically with strategic recommendations.
Create and define the key metrics used to better analyze the business and its needs.
Optimize vacation package yield by analyzing current trends and managing dynamic margins Forecasting key metrics based on current trends in the business and in the industry/economy.
Assist in the annual operating plan for the upcoming year utilizing trends and meeting business goals.
Assist in creating and analyzing Financial Reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Business Cases and Pro forms.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university majoring in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE: Required 3+ years' experience in a competitive analytical environment Strong experience in data mining and querying in relational database systems such as MS Access and writing code in Structured Query Language (SQL) a plus.
Expert knowledge in Excel including complex formulas and charts.
Proficient knowledge in forecasting, scenario analysis, key metrics, and trending.
Proficient knowledge of Mathematical and Statistics Presentational and professional speaking skills to communicate closely with Executive level management including Directors, Vice Presidents, and Chief Financial Officer.
Preferred: Experience and knowledge of electrical industries are preferred Knowledge of budgeting software preferred.
