Our team in Staff Software Engineer, R&D is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, R&D to join them.
You will report to the Director, Engineer and will work schedule in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The Staff Engineer - Software is involved with medical device projects from design to test and implementation stages.
You will design and develop software to meet design specifications.
To be considered for Staff Software Engineer, R&D, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:
Bachelor’s degree (B.
S.
) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited college or university.
Minimum ten (10) years applicable work experience.
Demonstrated ability to work with a team.
As a Staff Software Engineer, R&D, you will:
Design· Ensures that team’s software project deliverables and process requirements are met.
· Is a lead engineer.
Will lead a small or medium sized team· Documents designs, including software specifications, detailed design, implementation, verification, and traceability· Develops/reviews specifications within medical regulatory guidelines, solid understanding of medical regulations· Contribute to system engineering evaluations, designs, troubleshooting and documentation activities· Software version control and defect management· Generates medical device design and system documentation and release in a document control system· Learn and adhere with software development process and change control procedures· Contributes within a team to project/program objectives· Participate in technical reviews
Test
· Generates/approves/executes test verification/validation protocols
· Perform testing / conduct experiments on systems
· Directs testing / interpret technical results
· Create and release reports
Applications Engineering
· Help prepare quotes and proposals for product development
· Supports production staff
