POWER Engineers is currently seeking a talented entry-level electrical engineer for a full-time position in our Renewables Business Unit.
Under the guidance of multiple experienced engineers, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the renewable energy projects from generation source to the Point of Interconnection (POI).
Responsibilities will range from preliminary solar/wind/BESS site design through the detailed design of low to extra-high-voltage renewable collector substations and gen-tie transmission lines.
The successful candidate will be based in POWER’s our Salt Lake City, Utah ofifce.
Flexibility is available for a hybrid/remote work environment for an experienced candidate (employee will need to live within driving distance of a currently established POWER office).
Required Education/Experience:
BSEE (BS Electrical Engineering), BSEET (BS Electrical Engineering Technology), BSME (BS Mechanical Engineering), A BSREE (BS Renewable Energy Engineering), or related engineering degree from an accredited university preferably with a power option.
Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering to build on.
Must have a strong command of the English language; experience and demonstrated written and oral communications skills, including the ability to present information, facilitate meetings and provide direction to others.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.
S.
without the need for work sponsorship.
Desired Education/Experience:
At least three months of relevant electrical engineering work experience; could be on an internship or co-op basis.
Minimum of a 3.
0 GPA.
Preferably an engineering degree with a power option from an accredited university.
Attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills will be critical for the successful completion of tasks.
Candidates who have passed the FE/EIT exam will be strongly considered for this position.
Familiarity with design, drafting or engineering software such as MATHCAD, SOLIDWORKS, AUTOCAD, etc.
as well as Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
