*About Precipice Counseling*
Precipice Counseling was founded during the COVID Pandemic with the intent of improving quality of life for practitioners.
We find that maintaining a focus of clinician wellness, and prioritizing the passions and interests of clinicians, improves their ability to serve our customers.
We hire clinicians that are generalist practitioners, with a drive to improve in specific specialties.
These specific specialties are not predefined to allow for individualization, and we work with clinicians to improve in the areas of interest to them.
Precipice Counseling is a Mental Health Primary or Co-occurring Enhanced program, seeking to serve those in the Tooele Community with mental health primary diagnoses (may serve customers with substance use as secondary or tertiary diagnosis).
The agency follows the practices outlined by the I-System Model of care, and seeks to integrate services conducive to this model.
Since this model is a foundational practice, treatments like CBT, EMDR, DBT, etc work effectively within this model.
However, the Program Director and Peer Support Services follow the practices of Mind-Body Bridging (MBB), which was developed by the I-System Institute.
_It is not a requirement to practice MBB to be hired, but a bonus if you have working knowledge of it.
