The Office of Student Affairs with the Spencer Fox Eccles School of Medicine (SOM) works closely with medical students to ensure they feel supported and successful during their time at the SOM by facilitating the personal and professional development of the students through accessibility, professionalism, collaboration, and inclusivity.
The Professional Identity Formation (PIF) Coordinator provides administrative support to the SOM Student Affairs team.
Assists medical students by supporting Student Affairs Program Managers/House Advisors, credentialing needs, events, and covering the front office.
This position will cross-train in all aspects of Student Affairs, including involvement in and completion of recurring projects and events, and provide additional support to other Student Affairs team members during busy seasons.

Responsibilities Provide faculty, staff, and student support for professional identity formation initiatives.
Coordinates PIF Faculty and PIF Associate Director scheduling related to meetings and consultations with Deans’s office units and outside constituents.
Create and maintain all PIF canvas courses including communication, tracking assignment completion, and grading.
Provide ongoing support of the Personal and Professional Development Student Council as well as Self-Discovery and Authentic Leadership Pathway.
Plan PIF-related events including venue, catering, printing, and presentation slide decks.
Participate in after-hours events as needed.
Assist with RealMD podcast and social media content.
Coordinate class meetings and longitudinal courses including slide deck creation, meeting setup, catering orders, and recordings.
Assists with Visiting Student Learning Opportunities application review.
Register travel and issue reimbursements for faculty, students, and staff.
Serve as primary support on Student Affairs event committees.
Provide backup support for student credentialing processes, account requests, training, badge access, drug screening, and other student requirements as assigned.
Help Program Assistant with front office coverage, scheduling meetings, reserving rooms, ordering supplies for the Student Lounge/office, and ordering catering for class-wide events.
Act as point of contact for the School of Medicine’s students, faculty, and guests; maintaining a welcoming and positive environment within the Office of Student Affairs; as well as providing administrative support to Student Affairs management and staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus one year directly related experience or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content.
Strong coordination and organizational skills required to prioritize conflicting deadlines.
Demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills are also required.
