Description: We are currently looking for an experienced and proven Senior Director of Data Analytics.
As the Senior Director of Data Analytics, you will lead Joyce University's data strategy, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
Responsible for overseeing data collection, integration, and validation processes, you will uphold data accuracy and compliance.
Your role involves driving advanced analytics initiatives, guiding the development of models, algorithms, and dashboards, and translating complex insights into actionable recommendations.
Spearheading business intelligence efforts, you will implement and manage analytics tools, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide performance analysis reports to senior leadership.
Your leadership extends to mentoring data professionals, fostering innovation, and acting as a strategic advisor to influence decision-making processes.
Additionally, you will engage with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data and analytics.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data management, 10+ years of proven experience, proficiency in programming languages, and excellent communication skills.
This is a hybrid work position on our Draper, UT campus, but fully remote could be considered for the right candidate.

Oversee data collection, integration, and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Create institutional data definitions and ensure adherence to definitions through Q/A protocols.
Implement best practices in data governance, compliance, and security to safeguard sensitive information.
Advanced Analytics and Insights: Lead the company’s data team to develop analytical models, algorithms, and dashboards Translate complex data insights into understandable and actionable recommendations for key stakeholders.
Utilize statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities within large datasets.
Business Intelligence: Implement and manage business intelligence tools and platforms to enable self-service analytics for various departments.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify reporting requirements and deliver intuitive dashboards and reports.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance analysis reports to senior leadership.
Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate with executive leadership to align data and analytics initiatives with overall business strategies.
Mentor and guide data professionals (direct reports and cross-departmental), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
Act as a strategic advisor, influencing decision-making processes across departments by leveraging data insights.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide tailored solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Build strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts to stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in data and analytics.

Experience and Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field.
Proven experience (10 years preferred) in data and analytics roles, with a focus on strategy development, advanced analytics, and business intelligence.
Strong background in data management, data governance, and data architecture.
Proficiency in programming languages (such as Python, R, or SQL) and familiarity with data visualization tools (such as DOMO and PowerBI).
Experience with Salesforce CRM, DOMO, and Snowflake data warehouse a plus.
Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex data concepts to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and senior executives to drive data-driven decision-making processes.
Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and advancements in data science and analytics.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Location: Hybrid or Fully Remote for highly qualified candidate Employment Status: Full time Hours of Employment: Minimum 40 hrs.
