Description: Job Highlights Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm Unit: ValleyRx Retention Sign-on: $1,500 Job Summary & Deliverables The Pharmacy Technician receives and fills prescription requests for patients and maintains patient profiles.
The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
Essential Functions Retrieves, pours, counts, labels, and reconstitutes prescription medications Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information through the pharmacy’s computer network to maintain accurate records Packages and labels products under the supervision of the Pharmacist Obtains refill authorizations from prescribers Processes and prepares third-party insurance claims Communicates with physicians, patients, and third parties Maintains pharmacy inventory Prepares reports related to sales, usage, and inventory Answers phones and directs customer calls to appropriate personnel Maintains and cleans equipment, work areas, and shelves Benefits Medical, dental (including orthodontics), and vision insurance Health Savings Account with a company match Family Building benefits 401(k) with a 5% company match Insurance plans including life insurance, short and long-term disability, accident, critical illness, auto and home, and pet insurance Time off including 15 days of accrued PTO (accrual increases by one day for each year of service), 10 paid holidays, and 2 wellness days 10 days of Paid Parental Leave for all new parents for birth or adoption Volunteer paid time Employee Assistance Program and discounted mental health therapy Education Assistance including tuition, new license, specialized training, and conference reimbursement, student loan assistance, continuing education reimbursement, and paid training time.
