The Admissions Counselor will collaborate with admissions and marketing staff on enrollment initiatives to drive matriculation growth for the MBA program through strategic outreach and relationship cultivation with corporations and professionals.
The position requires extensive interaction with prospective and current students, alums, faculty, vendors, and other School and University staff.
This position will also involve cross-training and support on the student experience.
The ideal candidate for this position must have strong communication and project management skills, be an effective team player, enjoy creating and maintaining relationships with prospective students, and handle and complete multiple tasks.

Responsibilities Assist prospective students as they move through the admissions process, including consulting with them on program fit, answering questions about the admissions process, alleviating concerns, assisting with application submission, and helping the students prepare to start courses once accepted.
This position requires significant interaction with prospective students through phone, email, text, and other virtual avenues.
It also entails building personal relationships with prospective students while supporting them through the application and admissions process and maintaining the student contact database.
The admissions counselor will actively reach out to prospective students who have requested information about the MBA programs, answer their questions, and build rapport with them as they work through their research into the program.
Actively manage and report on the prospective student pipeline, work towards admissions goals, and manage entries into Salesforce.
Assist in planning, hosting, and presenting at recruiting events.
Responsible for budget tracking, reconciling bills, and billing them to the appropriate account.
Interviewing candidates for the program and assisting in credential evaluation for program admission.
Assisting the Student Services team with student events and advising as needed.
May assist in supporting other areas of the department as needed.

In addition to recruiting and admissions responsibilities, the Admissions Counselor will also have the opportunity to work directly with current students and support all program needs.

Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years’ related experience, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).
Preferences Two-plus years of professional experience; strong familiarity with current trends in higher education, MBA programs and business education, business and economic issues, and technology-based learning platforms.
Competitive drive, good work ethic, and time management.
Experience in managing/supporting recruitment programs at a university, college, or company; knowledge of general management curriculum, including familiarity with other institutions’ courses and programs.
Handle multiple tasks in an organized manner.
Prioritize to ensure a balanced and efficient workload.
Produce high-quality work with speed and accuracy.
Work across cultures, collaborate, and interact effectively and diplomatically with persons at all levels of organizations.
Interact with students and alumni, focusing on high-quality service.
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong presentation and project management skills.
Personal computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and willingness to learn new programs.
