We are actively hiring Temp, on-call Russian Language Instructors to join our Defense and Homeland Security Division working in Draper, Utah.
In this role, the Russian Language Instructor will develop and teach language courses in accordance with customer’s instructions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tailor approaches in accordance with student learning styles and strategies
Supplement instruction with contemporary authentic material
Use classroom technology such as SmartBoard/Symposium, audio/video/DVD components, and computer applications such as Microsoft Office
Use blended delivery modes such as platform, online, distance, asynchronous eLearning technology and self-paced instruction
Provide constructive feedback on student progress.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Native Speaker with an ILR proficiency level 4 in reading and listening in Russian or a speaker with native capability in English and a minimum ILR proficiency level 3 in reading and listening in Russian
Bachelor’s degree
Five years of experience in adult language education and methodology to include:
Three years of experience developing and teaching using blended learning.
Three years of experience developing and teaching language courses from basic through advanced level, with a focus on translation, grammar, listening and reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
Two years of experience in identifying and using authentic materials to support objectives
Two years of experience in assessing student performance.
