Responsibilities: Work as a para-professional at the Early Childhood Education Center (Preschool, 3-5
year olds).
Duties include:
• Ensure children’s needs are being met in the classroom setting.
• Communicate with pre-school special ed staff regularly on the needs for the
children and classroom.
• Review children’s individual goals and provide intervention in a group setting
to assist children in reaching their goals.
• Organize preparation of lesson outlines and plan curriculum.
• Ensure proper documentation of each child’s progress.
• Participate in training opportunities provided by the district.
• Participate in the summer ESY program if applicable.
• Plan, prepare and develop teaching aides such as visual aides, music, crafts
and decorations.
• Present subject matter to children utilizing various methods and techniques
such as repetition, simple actions and modeling.
• Clean and maintain equipment.
• Other duties as assigned
Minimum
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a natural love of children, including working with
at-risk children and their families; be able to work in an environment of constant
change and be a team player.
The following is also required:
• Child Development Associate Degree (preferred) or CDA Certificate
• Minimum of 6 months working with pre-school aged children
• Effectively communicate with staff, families and supervisors
• Must be able to lift and move up to 30 lbs and sit and kneel on the floor to
interact with children.

Part-time hourly position: 15 hours per week 12:30 PM – 3:00 PM Monday through
Thursday with occasional trainings on Friday
