This is a four-month temporary role May–August, 2024.
The purpose of this role is to partner in designing, creating, and delivering tools and training to meet global development needs for new people managers.
Employees at this level have comprehensive working knowledge and work under minimal supervision to address complex training and development needs.
This position has a hybrid working schedule with three days required in office at the Church Office Building in Salt Lake City per week.
This role reports to the Global Training and Development Training Specialist, Sr.

Accountable to deliver the following global essential activities:
Instructional design for training (ILT, VILT, asynchronous), resources, job aids, tools, processes, development experiences, etc.
to support new people managers for the global Church workforce
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, organizational behavior, or a related field
Strong knowledge of learning and development best practices and learning management systems
Demonstrated experience in training and teaching
Key skills and core competencies include the ability to:
Work and think creatively to apply research-based learning theories to training and development solutions
Collaborate and consult with subject-matter experts on the effective use of learning strategies, web-based resources, multi-media technologies, and instructional applications and systems
Break down problems, analyze large data sets, and think strategically about systems, processes, and people.
Exercise high-level of organization and attention to detail.
Adapt and adjust positively and productively to change
Deliver excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally through influence and collaboration
To successfully perform the job's essential functions, there may be physical requirements which must be met, such as sitting for extended periods of time and using computer monitors/equipment.
Preferred:
Industry-related experience in instructional design and training
Demonstrated experience in graphic design
Experience providing instructional design support for learning initiatives in a global organization
Experience designing blended learning programs
