Plans and implements activities relating to faculty onboarding, credentialing, re-credentialing, licensing, and academic reviews for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology ensuring goals and objectives are in accordance with established criteria.
Interprets program policies and advises program participants on the application of regulations.
Responsibilities Essential Functions Faculty Hiring & Onboarding Posts faculty and advanced practice clinician positions within 1 week of Division Chief/Department Chair request Coordinates travel and interview itinerary Coordinates interview days Must meet and greet candidate, ensure interviewers arrive, coordinate lunch for the candidate, and ensure candidate has appropriate transportation.
Drafts offer letters ensuring correct template is used from Academic Affairs and all information included is accurate Orders drug screens and background checks, prompts for letters of reference for incoming faculty, fellows, and APCs Coordinates with candidate to ensure all drug testing is completed within 48 hours of the formal offer being extended Coordinates the credentialing and re-credentialing and licensing process (for both UoU and other in-state institutions such as IHC, PCH, and UVH) for faculty, fellows, and APCs Works with HR to designate office space, order furniture, computers, etc Coordinates onboarding itinerary, sets up new accounts (Epic/iCentra), obtains parking space and completes I-9 and IPA, lab coats, orders badges and grants badge access for faculty, fellows, and APCs Submits hiring ePAF including letters of recommendation, CV in SOM format, education verification, DAC vote, etc for faculty, fellows, and APCs Credentialing and re-credentialing for other institutions (PCH, UVH, IHC, etc) for faculty, fellows, and APCs Handles travel and food reimbursements for candidate visits Works alongside the GME and the Education team to onboard and credential fellows Reviews the Faculty Onboarding Handbook bi-annually and works with the leadership team to keep it updated.
