Position Summary
Meldrum Science Center Teaching Assistants are responsible for having strong knowledge of the theory, application and practice of concepts taught within the 100 and/or 200 level course(s) for which they are assigned, and the ability to communicate and explain their knowledge with others.
The Teaching Assistant, in coordination with Chemistry faculty, will attend and help faculty within the chemistry course(s) that they are assigned, set-up and break-down laboratory activities or demonstrations associated with the assigned course(s) and help with grading assignments.
Required Qualifications
3.
5 GPA in completed Chemistry coursework; B or higher grade in assigned course (s); 8 semester credits of Chemistry coursework

Primary Responsibilities
Responsibility Set-up and break-down of laboratory activities and classroom demonstrations using equipment and supplies within the classroom and/or the stockrooms

Responsibility Grade classroom and/or laboratory assignments following a grading rubric
