USBE is currently looking for a dedicated individual to fill a Program Specialist position with responsibility over the Career and Technical Education (CTE) skill certificate program.
In collaboration with CTE program educational specialists, this position works closely with educators and an assessment vendor to create, update, and revise the state skill certificate tests as courses are updated.
This position will also need to plan and provide professional development, communicate with educators and state leaders on reporting, and assist in technical support as needed.
This position will also have responsibility for industry certification programs for students and educators.
Principal Duties As a CTE Certification Program Specialist, you will: Project management and tracking of the state skill certificate program.
Collaborate with CTE educational content specialists on course test sessions.
Organize, facilitate, and complete the courses test revision process.
Respond to LEAs and educators regarding CTE testing issues and questions.
Provide professional development and technical assistance on skill certification program, including using reports to improve teaching course strand and standards.
Monitor LEA CTE programs testing practices to ensure high quality practices are being implemented and required process are being followed through detailed reviews.
The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will possess: Successful assessment experience.
Successful program management experience.
Successful experience in rolling out new and innovative programs related to CTE.
Successful experience analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data and results, and using data driven decision making to improve existing programs and utilization of resources.
The ability to work independently and to collaborate well with others working towards common CTE and USBE goals.
Excellent technical skills with understanding of current MS Office, Adobe and Canvas software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
