🌏💚❄️ #COP29ArcticPavilion has successfully completed Week 1 ✅ 30+ insightful expert sessions were organised on November 11-16 by the hosts Northern Forum and BRICS Youth Energy Agency, as well as international organisations (Arctic Council - AMAP - The Arctic Monitoring and Assessment Programme, UNECE Sustainable Energy RMYMG, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, OECD Nuclear Energy Agency, European Federation of Geologists, APECS - Association of Polar Early Career Scientists, ReSp CEESP IUCN, OnePointFive (opf.degree), ReGeneration2030), youth (SDG7 Youth Constituency, Climate Forward Pakistan, Ishaka 2030), indigenous peoples (Union of Indigenous Peoples “Soyuz”), research institutions (Высшая Школа Экономики, Russian Academy of Sciences, Yugra University, AirClim (Air Pollution and Climate Secretariat), foundations (Nature and People, Foundation Vostok Discussion Club) and businesses. ⚡️BRICS YEA Assistant Chairperson Arsenii Kirgizov-Barskii coordinated the Arctic Pavilion program and organised/co-hosted 5 sessions on November 15-16, including “Critical Minerals for Energy Transition: Intergenerational Perspective” (UNECE Resource Management Young Member Group), “Arctic-Amazon Indigenous Youth Climate Dialogue” (BRICS YEA), “BRICS Youth Energy Outlook 2025: Youth-Driven Research for a Just Energy Transition”. 🤝 Our sincere gratitude goes to all organisers, speakers and audience of these amazing events for their trust, contribution to the #Arctic discussion and fruitful #cooperation. 🔗 Stay tuned and welcome to Week 2 of #COP29, featuring even more insightful sessions on #climate, #energy, #science, #youth and many other topics important for the Arctic!
