🚀 Workshop for Reaching and Activating NEET Youth who are outside the system within the Youth Guarantee Framework Belgrade, December 2024 – In line with the 2023–2026 Youth Guarantee Implementation Plan, the E2E Education to Employment project, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran, and Social Affairs, is organizing a three-day training event on engaging and activating NEET youth within Youth Guarantee. 📅 Dates: December 11–13, 2024 📍 Location: Hotel M, Belgrade This training is a critical step in preparing to implement the Youth Guarantee program in Serbia, modeled after successful EU practices. Civil society organizations such as the Education center in Kruševac will play a pivotal role in reaching young people who do not proactively seek institutional support. 🎯 Training Objectives: * Informing on the Model for reaching and activating NEET youth who are outside the system; * Preparation of civil society organizations (CSOs) for work with NEET youth - identification, establishment of contact, preparation for inclusion in the Youth Guarantee; * Mapping services and available support in the local community; * Exchange of experiences and practical work on mapping services and establishing contact with NEET youth. 👩🏫 Led by Dajna Marinkovic and Milica Janačković, youth work experts from the Center for Youth Work, the training includes lectures, interactive workshops, and simulation exercises. 🔍 Enhancing Career Guidance and Counselling Expertise On December 10-11, as part of the E2E Education to Employment project, a specialized workshop on competency assessment and job profile development was successfully held in Belgrade. ✨Strengthening Local Partnerships in Smederevo! Today, the Mayor of Smederevo, Ms. Jasmina Vojinović, hosted a productive meeting with representatives of the Swiss-Serbian E2E Education to Employment project Oliver Streit and Milena Jankovic, and our local partner Protok.Tok21 and Job Info center Smederevo, Nataša Rašković. This meeting highlighted key collaborative efforts to: 📍Enhance career guidance and counseling services for youth and unemployed individuals; 📍Strengthen local labor market measures, ensuring better alignment between education and employment; 📍Foster public-private partnerships for sustainable economic development. 📊 Achievements to date in Smederevo include: ✅Opening and equipping a Job Info Center, providing modern tools and trained practitioners; ✅Supporting over 1,000 beneficiaries with career counseling services, with more planned by year-end; ✅Investing over 1 million RSD in on-the-job training programs for local companies in 2023. 🔹 Strengthening Education-to-Employment Connections: Phase III of the E2E Project Today, the first Steering Committee Meeting of Phase III of the Swiss-Serbian project E2E Education to Employment was held at the NAJU - Nacionalna akademija za javnu upravu (National Academy for Public Administration). Representatives from key institutions, including the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, the Ministarstvo za rad, zapošljavanjе, boračka i socijalna pitanja (the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran, and Social Affairs), the Kancelarija za dualno obrazovanje i Nacionalni okvir kvalifikacija (the Office for Dual Education), the Qualification Agency, Privredna komora Srbije | Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia, Nacionalna služba za zapošljavanje / Национална служба за запошљавање (the National Employment Service), the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, and NIRAS International Consulting, joined forces to discuss strategic priorities for 2025. The agenda included a focus on coordinating the activities of all partner institutions in line with the priority areas relevant to the labor market and the goals of the E2E project for 2025. 🌟 Work-based Learning in Non-Formal Education: Insights and Success Factors The E2E Education to Employment project hosted a Roundtable to discuss the impact and success factors of work-based learning in non-formal education and career guidance and counselling (CGC). The Roundtable is a part of the "Month of Dual Education" event hosted by the Privredna komora Srbije | Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia. Key stakeholders shared their insights on the following: ✔️Ensuring the quality of the training ✔️Recruiting suitable candidates, and ✔️Developing systemic support for sustainable training models and CGC. We’re proud to work with our partners in building a skilled workforce and bridging the gap between education and employment. One of the highlights was the introduction of VR simulations, an innovative tool designed to guide young people in their career choices.
