  • Dear Cluj IT community, ✳️ We're bringing AI Agents back to the table, with this pathbreaking analysis prepared by Marin Iuga - Coordinator of Cluj IT’s Data Intelligence Workgroup, with over 15 years of experience as consultant in IT outsourcing. Join Cluj IT and Mr. Iuga in this transformation journey and dive into the AI world, focusing on key takeaways from the presentation below 👇

Vezi profilul pentru Marin Iuga, grafic

Experienced manager in the outsourcing/business process improvement areas (with a strong focus on the IT markets).

Having spent over 15 years as a consultant in IT outsourcing, I’ve witnessed this industry navigate significant transformations such as the early offshoring that shifted labor costs globally, cloud computing that revolutionized data storage and access, along with digital transformation that redefined business processes. Despite these changes, the core operating model of IT outsourcing industry has remained largely stagnant. However, I believe the industry now stands on the brink of a new and fundamental disruption: the disruption driven by the rise of AI agents. This shift will have profound implications for business models, market structure, the IT workforce and customer expectations. To survive, IT outsourcing companies must adapt their business models or risk becoming obsolete. The path to success lies in embracing several critical shifts: - For companies: Evolve from arbitrators of work towards orchestrators of advanced technologies; - For developers: Transition from specialized experts towards flexible, multidisciplinary enablers of technology; - For customers: Move your expectations from fixed, standardized services to hyper-personalized, outcome-driven solutions. As the coordinator of ClujIT’s Data Intelligence workgroup, composed of CEOs and leaders in IT outsourcing, I am sharing this analysis as guidance and reference for both our members and the broader community. My goal is to spark dialogue and action, to help our industry adapt to this rapidly changing landscape. I invite you to join me in this transformation. Together, we can exchange insights, craft strategies, and support each other in navigating the challenges ahead. By working collaboratively, we can drive innovation and secure a thriving future for IT outsourcing.

  • As we draw closer to the end of the year and the closing of 2024 activities, we’re happy to look back at a very full month this December. Last week, 30+ delegates from our national ecosystem attended a training session dedicated to exploring the NIS2Directive, where our experts responded to a variety of questions from recommendations to critical organizations, to technical aspects of adopting the directive, from training teams, to creating a checklist for preventing cyber attacks. Experts Andrei Ghiciac and Marius Corîci guided us through the current national landscape in terms of cybersecurity, why each organization should invest in securing their data and how to achieve this critical objective by 2026. We had the pleasure of welcoming to this training session delegates from SMEs across Romania, local public authorities, higher education institutions and health institutions.  Thank you to all the participants for their contributions, interventions and keeping the session a lively dialogue directed at clarifying issues regarding the implementation of the NIS2 Directive in Romanian organizations. A second thank you to our colleagues from HoundBytes for providing a Draft guide on implementing NIS2 which was sent to registered participants. It will surely prove to be a strong resource in tackling upcoming challenges in the organizational landscape in terms of cybersecurity protection and compliance with its  transposing in the national legislation. #clujitcluster  #clujitcommunity #NIS2directive #training #ReCentreEurocluster #cybersecurity #securitatecibernetica

  • ✨Strengthening Cluster Innovation Through Quadruple Helix Collaboration The Cluj IT team participated in a groundbreaking peer review event in Budapest on November 14–15, 2024. This transformative gathering, titled "Improving the Cooperation of Clusters with the Participants of the Hungarian Quadruple Helix," brought together key government, academia, industry, and community stakeholders to advance cluster innovation and visibility. MediKlaszter and the Lietuvos inovacijų centras / Lithuanian Innovation Centre (LIC) hosted the event in collaboration with international experts. Laviniu C., Innovation Manager at Cluj IT, captured the essence of the discussions: "Beyond the ambition of uniting all regional innovators, it is vital to empower life science innovators to improve the health and longevity of the population in our regions." He also moderated an insightful discussion on strengthening relationships between governmental institutions and clusters to foster better collaboration. His insights underscored the importance of empowering diverse stakeholders to co-create solutions that address pressing challenges in innovation ecosystems. The discussions in Budapest led to several practical takeaways: - creating strong platforms for collaboration and making sure policies support, rather than limit innovation; -strengthening these frameworks and increasing cooperation, especially in health clusters, will be the key to success; -forging international partnerships and sharing knowledge across borders enables clusters to sustain long-term growth and competitiveness; We believe that forming international teams, sharing expertise, and working together are essential steps toward long-term growth. This has been highly observed in regard to the employment of new specialists in the field. Even though they have the necessary experience, nowadays, it became more difficult to find a job in IT. Moreover, there has been a rearrangement of the market in terms of wages. #clujitcluster #itindustry #clujit
