The product field has been making great strides in recent years. 🚀 With the growing demand for these professionals, salaries are also rising, high. Hiring in Portugal is now as expensive as hiring in many European countries. The simple reason for this: taxes. Over the last decade, countries like Dubai have emerged as opportunities to earn a better salary, maintain or even improve quality of life, and start saving for early retirement—the well-known FIRE movement. In 2021, Rebeca Oram de Assunção received an invitation from Emirates to, quite literally, take off to new horizons. She packed her bags to Dubai first and to Saudi Arabia after, where she is now a Product Manager at NEOM, focused on building the "land of the future." In this conversation, we talk about career, money, lifestyle, and the formula for continuing to grow toward what we want for ourselves, without ever compromising our values.
