Coordinated by #ŽENA (Croatia), AGE-MEDU brings together an incredible consortium of partners: Veleučilište u Šibeniku/Polytechnic of Šibenik, AFEdemy, age-friendly environments academy, Computer Technology Institute and Press “DIOPHANTUS” (CTI), SHINE 2Europe, Porto4Ageing (Universidade do Porto), and De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences). Together, we are shaping a future-focused approach to nursing education. Our work is already underway with the launch of a questionnaire to assess the current needs and challenges in geriatrics and gerontology education. 📣 💥 We are proud to announce the release of a new publication, showcasing the power of collaboration in cancer-related European projects! “Innovative Practices for Stakeholder Engagement in Cancer-Related European Projects” is the result of collective efforts by 10 EU-funded projects, led by the Liveration Project, addressing critical challenges in cancer prevention and care. 4P-CAN is honored to have been part of this journey, contributing to strategies that emphasize the importance of stakeholder engagement, including: ✔️ Building Living Labs for citizen-driven innovation. ✔️ Using Personal Network Analysis to engage communities. ✔️ Addressing challenges like stigma and limited healthcare access in rural areas. 🤝 This joint endeavor highlights innovative methods for involving patients, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and communities in designing impactful, inclusive solutions. Together, we underline the critical need for patient empowerment, effective communication, and shared decision-making throughout the lifecycle of cancer projects. 💡 Why it matters: Collaboration among these projects facilitates the translation of research into practical applications, ensuring a direct and meaningful impact on patient care and societal health. 📢 Test-Run of DigitalScouts’ Training in Portugal Yesterday, SHINE 2Europe travelled to Braga to held a test-run of the DigitalScouts training program with 11 dedicated volunteers, from the esteemed association Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa - Delegação de Braga, who do an amazing work with older adults in the field of health care, social and digital inclusion. During this interactive and engaging session, participants explored the platform and shared valuable feedback on the quality of the training content, methods, and materials. They also assessed key aspects such as the platform’s functionality and accessibility. #DigitalScouts is committed to developing a user-friendly digital learning platform and toolkit. This initiative aims to equip aspiring digital scouts with practical, accessible resources to empower older adults in using digital tools. By doing so, it seeks to enhance their participation in social, cultural, political, and health-related activities. 🌐 The #DigitalScouts is an #Erasmusplus project coordinated by ISIS-Sozialforschung (Germany), where SHINE 2Europe (Portugal) collaborates with other devoted partners, BerufsWege für Frauen e.
