👏 for Dzianis Holin, Senior QA Automation Engineer, winner of our internal Vention AIrena Poland! The contest challenged participants to create an engaging AI use case and implement it in a simple app within a month. Dzianis completed his solution in just two weeks. "My first step was finding the right gamification template," he explained. "I discovered a document from the University of Helsinki and used AI to refine it into an appropriate prompt for my model." "There are many AI models available, but since the requirement was to use a free solution, I chose Phi-3. It's a compact model that's easy to use offline and delivers excellent performance. I also developed a demo app to showcase my solution. The results were impressive, even though I used only a small amount of data without any pre-training." When asked about his biggest hurdle, Dzianis said, "It was difficult to communicate with the model as I intended. You can't just download and use it; you need to integrate it into a suitable environment, which requires careful consideration of the architecture and API. Additionally, crafting an effective prompt was a significant challenge." Reflecting on his experience, Dzianis shared, "I've learned that I can train my own AI model to assist with simple daily tasks, such as writing test cases or summarizing documents.
