📢 New report: climate change is shortening the Polish winter! ❄️➡️🌡️ According to Climate Central's latest report, Poland is experiencing a significant increase in the number of winter days with temperatures above zero, which is affecting snowfall, winter sports, ecosystems, and more. Key facts: ✔️ Almost 3 additional weeks of winter days with temperatures above 0°C per year in the last decade (2014-2023) due to human activities. ✔️ 5th in the world for losing cold winter days due to climate warming. ✔️ All 13 Polish cities analyzed recorded at least an additional two weeks of winter days with temperatures above zero per year compared to the situation without climate change. As early as 1 January 2025, the #ESG reporting obligation will cover almost 50,000 companies in the EU, including around 3,500 companies in Poland. However, the calculations do not take into account organizations that will need to collect sustainability data due to their links to global supply chains - the actual number will be much higher❕.
