IS-Wireless has been selected to join NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) 2025 cohort. We won with the solution that allows destroyed or sabotaged base stations to be replicated anywhere. The solution is part of a Liquid RAN concept, which represents the newest generation of open and disaggregated networking. Thanks to Liquid RAN, both private and public 5G/6G networks can adapt to volatile infrastructure in order to offer unmatched resilience in crisis situations or unparalleled energy efficiency during peacetime. IS-Wireless is advancing in the Radio Intelligent Controller (RIC) area, which is the heart of modern telecommunications networks. The company has been selected for funding with two projects with the goal of developing critical RIC functionalities focused on real-time operation, enhanced security, and multi-service capabilities. The total funding exceeds $5M. The addressed RIC innovations will significantly add value to IS-Wireless’ vision of the evolution of contemporary open and disaggregated systems towards Liquid RAN - an advanced set of RAN technologies paving the way in the transition between 5G and 6G. Liquid RAN is designed to optimize the use of existing network resources—spectrum, compute, and energy—to their maximum potential. IS-Wireless at IEEE GLOBECOM 2024 in South Africa! It is a flagship conference dedicated to driving innovation in nearly every aspect of communications. Each year, there are more than 3000 proposals for program sessions. After extensive peer review, the best of the proposals are selected for the conference program. Last week, we hosted the 7th EWOC Plenary Meeting at our office. In this project, IS-Wireless is responsible for designing and developing novel joint resource scheduling algorithms for Beyond 5G networks. During the visit, we discussed progress and presented a live demo of our Private 5G network and the 6G-Ready Lab we deliver to educational institutions. For the past 13 months, we’ve been actively involved in the Future Network Services (FNS) project. FNS is a consortium dedicated to laying the groundwork for 6G technology, backed by a €61 million investment from the Dutch National Growth Fund. This solution shows the potential of intelligent automation in production logistics. 🔎 Energy metering at production plants: By integrating energy metering systems into industrial plants, energy consumption is monitored and optimized in real-time. This technology not only contributes to cost reduction but also more sustainable production with a smaller environmental footprint. 🔎 Situational awareness in the event of a disaster: A robot dog is used in disaster scenarios to capture visual and sensory situational awareness. This provides emergency services with critical information that enables targeted, rapid decision-making and thus more effective rescue.
