I posted 3 weeks ago about this company! “Jumppace Pvt Ltd I had a very negative experience with this company. The guy Abdullah Rasheed in charge acts like he knows everything about the industry, but in reality, he knows nothing. He behaves like a big boss, vaping in the office and bragging about his achievements in a fake accent. He treats everyone else like fools, even if they have years of experience. He acts like he’s a GOD and he’s the one feeding everyone. It’s very frustrating to work with someone so arrogant and out of touch. They hire you with promises, but without your knowledge, you’re essentially being placed on a trial month. Imagine dedicating your time, converting leads, and giving your best effort, only to find out you won't be paid if your performance isn't up to their unrealistic and unethical standards. Even worse, after your very first month they say, "Post some dollars first, then you can collect your salary." This tactic leaves you working tirelessly, hoping for a paycheck that may never come. This practice is unfair and exploitative. Your time and effort are valuable, and you deserve to be compensated for your work, regardless of how a company manipulates the terms. We must stand against these fake and so called well known companies, deceptive practices and demand fair treatment and transparency from employers. Let’s put an end to these unfair hiring tactics. Many candidates make the mistake of applying for jobs without thoroughly reviewing the details provided. For example, the company name "Expedey or Expedey Pakistan" is clearly mentioned in the email address ([email protected]), and a quick search would reveal that we are an IT service provider specializing in digital services. Unfortunately, many candidates overlook these smaller details and fail to align their profiles with the specific requirements of the position. I believe candidates should take the time to research the company before applying for any role. Understanding the company’s services and culture will not only help candidates tailor their applications but also save time for both parties by ensuring better alignment with the job requirements.

This research has been a journey of discovery and learning, focused on evaluating the effectiveness of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Here are some key insights from my study: 📊 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞: Graduates from TVET programs experience a significant increase in their income after completing the program. 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐭: Hi-tech TVET programs (e.g., IT, AI, mobile app development) lead to higher incomes compared to conventional programs (e.g., auto-electrician, cooking, dressmaking). 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: Higher pre-TVET education levels correlate with greater income gains post-graduation. 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬: Male graduates tend to earn more than their female counterparts. 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫: The length of time since graduation is positively associated with higher income levels. 📚 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: 1. Enhance curriculum for conventional trades to match the financial outcomes of hi-tech trades. 2. Implement targeted support and mentorship programs for female graduates to bridge the income gap. 3. Introduce continuous learning opportunities to help graduates increase their income over time. I have spent two weeks in Islamabad and Rawalpindi and It's disheartening to note the prevalent disparity between advertised job roles and the actual terms offered during interviews, particularly in the Islamabad/Rawalpindi area. This discrepancy not only impacts candidates' time and resources but also fosters a sense of disillusionment. To rectify this issue and ensure transparency in the recruitment process, companies should clearly delineate both the base salary and performance-based components of the compensation package, along with associated terms and conditions, in their job postings. This approach not only fosters trust and respect for the hiring process but also enables candidates to make informed decisions regarding their career prospects.

Is This What We Work For, Pakistan? You put in the blood, sweat, and long hours at your job, bringing home a well-deserved salary. However, a significant portion (25% to 35%) disappears to income taxes. The question remains: are we getting what we deserve in return? Inflation, load-shedding, insecurity, snatchings, robberies, disrespect, the "parking mafia" adds another layer of frustration to daily life, and corrupt politicians/rulers?  It's enough to make you question everything. And let's not forget the daily grind, commuting costs, meals, and even basic needs like family support and children's education often go unconsidered when calculating income taxes. How can we climb the economic ladder when the starting point keeps shifting? This system widens the income gap. We need fairer tax structures, but this seems unlikely as the state relies on high earners, leaving the poor to always compromise. Leave Laws in Pakistan All Employees are entitled to minimum of following leaves: -Casual Leaves: 10 workings Day in a Year - Sick Leaves: 16 Days will full pay for Factories in sindh and 8 with full pay for Shops in sindh 16 with half pay in all Establishments of other provinces Casual leaves and Sick leaves are available even during probation period. - Annual Leaves: 14 Days after completion of One Year. Casual Leave Rules: 1. Application must be submitted before or immediately after leave. 2. Max of 3 days at a time (Shops and Establishment Act). 3.Unused leaves will lapse at the end of the year. Sick Leave Rules: 1. Application Must be submitted. 2. Medical Certificate: There is no requirement of Medical certificate in law for availing sick leaves. 3. Unused sick leaves : For Factory workers cannot be carried forward . For Shops and Commercial Establishments workers, can be carried forward to next Year upto max 16 at a time. Annual Leave Rules: 1. Eligibility 14 holidays after 12 months of service. 2. Encashment: Option available within 24 months. 3. Inform manager in writing one week prior. 4. Sundays/public holidays are not counted. 5. Can be combined with compensatory leave. 6. Accumulation: Factory workers can accumulate up to 28 days; others up to 30 days. Many employees report management not authorizing annual leaves or providing leave encashment. One big lesson I've learned as a recruiter in Pakistan is that many people don't show professionalism, especially during the interview process. It's surprising how often candidates commit to interviews but don’t show up, then complain about not finding jobs or getting enough pay. Even when candidates do show up, many don't know how to take interview calls professionally. It’s clear that universities aren't teaching this, and people seem unwilling to learn. I've thought about addressing this before but held back. Now, I feel it's important to share. The job market here is filled with red-flag candidates only! Pakistan always had potential and always will. We are a nation that never settled for less. If we were not interested in jobs anymore we figured out self-employment. We started businesses and got direct clients. We broke the generational norm of getting a 16-year education and then starting a career.  We did what we could to achieve what we wanted. YouTube was banned in 2012. People found VPNs and surfed YouTube regardless. There were no payment methods so we found alternatives, unconventional and inconvenient ways to get paid from buyers overseas and those clients paid because our service was worth adding another app to their organization's finance sector.  Our accounts got banned for trying to escape the prison the lack of attention from govt has imposed. People cried for help for years but stopped and when they found ways they shared with each other. People like Hisham Sarwar, Azad Chaiwala, Irfan Malik, and many more shared what they knew. Taught people how to start self-employment, how to communicate, and how to scale into a company. They generated abnormal amounts of data for us to consume and become valuable. As if the cries were heard. People started contributing to the GDP. Govt noticed that people are working an abnormal amount of hours for a good amount of money and yet they are unchecked. Govt felt bad for not listening so they opened up programs like DigiSkills and promoted it on TV. More and more people started benefiting from the pie Govt baked for its nation's youth. The pie which should have been more of an apology, not a favour. After feeding them a little they thought it was appropriate to get ROI. They rolled out their intention of adding Tax to IT services and faced extreme opposition from everyone who fought the war alone. They thought closing their eyes would solve every hate and criticism. Even though the criticism would have only helped them make informed decisions.  But they chose to close their eyes and ears by banning Twitter. It's like the story of a pigeon who closes its eyes when sees a cat to avoid getting eaten. But the threat is there and it will eat Pakistan right before our eyes. But the blood in this nation is different.
