To be the first carbon neutral economic zone in the Philippines! 🙌🏻 The ABS-CBN Foundation supports the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) in its bid to be 30% carbon neutral by 2030. 🌊 Diving deeper into conservation 🌊 Uniqlo Philippines and ABS-CBN Foundation Bantay Kalikasan joined hands with Citizen Scientists from Mabini, Batangas to protect the Verde Island Passage! This collaboration goes beyond a simple partnership. The Uniqlo team, together with locals from Mabini, explored coral reefs 🤿 and learned how to strengthen Citizen Science efforts. With the recently given new gear such as freediving masks, underwater cameras, and other survey tools, Uniqlo has empowered the Citizen Scientists to document marine life and gather essential data. “The ABS-CBN Foundation has always believed in the fundamental rights of children; that we should protect them. But in this world today, we need to ensure their internal well-being because it is much a priority that we want each and every child to feel loved, safe, thus capable of reaching their full potential,” ABS-CBN Foundation Managing Director Roberta Lopez-Feliciano opened the ceremony by highlighting the Foundation’s commitment to children’s rights and development ABS-CBN Foundation Bantay Bata 163 has officially partnered with NU Fairview by signing a Memorandum of Agreement! This partnership aims to strengthen efforts in advocating for child protection and mental health through BB163’s Project MIND. In celebration of November as National Children’s Month, the project will be hosting this year’s 2nd leg of 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱 (𝗧𝗙𝗖) on 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰. The Filipino Child is an online dialogue spearheaded by Bantay Bata 163 in 2022. This serves an inclusive platform for community partners and stakeholders to openly discuss the pressing challenges faced by Filipino children and youth. NU Fairview will be the moderator of the event and share their expertise as our resource speakers. ️ Aside from TFC, NU Fairview will also be part of BB163’s pool of volunteers, specifically for data analysis of available and relevant data from its on-site or online activities promoting child protection and mental health. Last November 2023, NU Fairview was also part of Bantay Bata 163’s Children’s Congress. Present at the MOA signing are ABS-CBN Foundation’s representatives: Roberta Lopez-Feliciano (Managing Director) and Levi Ambon-Rota (Bantay Bata 163 Program Head). Also present are NU Fairview Representatives: Dr. Christina Corpuz (Executive Director), Ma. Donna Lalusin (Senior Academic Director), Aazin Carl Sumalinog (Coordinator & Community Extension/NSTP), and Dr. Pamela Zuñiga (OIC Dean, School of Arts and Sciences).
