On Monday, July 8, the country music star, 60, announced that she’s returning to The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas in December after nine years to salute her dynamic career and, more importantly, to honor her 40th anniversary as a live entertainer with a trio of Greatest Hits shows. “Sometimes I feel like you just need to throw a big party for yourself!” Wynonna — who began her career run as one-half of the legendary mother-daughter duo, The Judds — shared in a statement, adding, “This is a milestone year for me.” Wynonna Judd The Greatest Hits Flyer. That’s more than half of my life!” she continued. “‘The Greatest Hits’ celebration is a chance for the fans and I to celebrate. They have been with me for so long, and my hope is that everyone will get to hear their favorite song. How many hits can we fit into one show? The latter — also a renowned country legend — died by suicide in April 2022 at the age of 76. "Today we sisters experienced a tragedy,” Wynonna and her sister, Ashley Judd, announced in a statement obtained by PEOPLE. “We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered. We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory." Wynonna reflected on her mother’s death in a recent interview with PEOPLE before she performed the national anthem at the Kentucky Derby in May.
