Say it ain’t so, Travis Barker will not go — to the 2023 VMAs.

The Blink-182 drummer did not attend the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night, despite being nominated for best alternative music video for the band’s song "Edging" — but he had a good reason for skipping.

Barker, 47, missed his chance to receive a Moon Person trophy because he is currently in Europe, thousands of miles away from the award show, which was held at The Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

The legendary rocker is currently in the middle of a world tour with his band Blink-182, along with bandmates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge.

On Tuesday, Barker shared footage of himself biking by the water in Denmark’s capital city on his Instagram Story, which he captioned: “I ❤️Copenhagen.” He also reposted a video of himself performing on tour, drumming on a platform suspended above the stage.

Blink-182's 2023 nod for "Edging" is the band's seventh VMA nomination. The win ultimately went to Lana Del Rey and Jon Batiste for "Candy Necklace."

Of their seven nods, the band has only taken home one Moon Person trophy. Over two decades ago, at the 2000 VMAs, they won best group video for "All the Small Things," and gave a legendary performance of the hit track.

More recently, Barker attended the award show in 2020, where he both presented and performed at the pre-show with Machine Gun Kelly and Blackbear.

While Barker did not leave the tour to attend the VMAs, the "All the Small Things" rockers did postpone some of European tour dates earlier this month.

The drummer had to leave the U.K. tour leg to rush home for an “urgent family matter,” the band announced on Instagram. It was later revealed that Barker left to be with his pregnant wife Kourtney Kardashian as she underwent an emergency fetal surgery

Both Kardashian, 44, and Barker both opened up about the scary experience through separate social media posts.

The drummer shared a tweet about the situation, writing: "God is great. I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well."

"I want to say thank you for all the support,” he continued, adding that Blink-182 would hit the road again on Friday.

"I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” Kardashian wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of herself and her rocker husband holding hands in the hospital.

"I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this," she wrote.

The Kardashians star continued: "As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear

"I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."

"Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing 🙏🏼🤍,” she finished the post.
