Victoria Monét has canceled her upcoming performances at several music festivals, including Governors Ball, due to health issues.

The Jaguar artist announced the news on her Instagram Stories on Monday, May 20, confirming her appearances at June festivals like Governors Ball, Roots Picnic and the Blavity House Party Music Festival will no longer go on.

"😢 I am gutted to share that I will no longer be able to perform at Governors Ball (NYC), Roots Picnic (Philadelphia) or Blavity (Nashville) this June,” wrote Monét. “I am so sorry!! 💔 Candidly I have been dealing with some ongoing health issues that have to be addressed right now, but I will be back out there soon, that's a promise!”

She added, “Please know it wasn't an easy call but it's definitely for the best.”

According to the “Party Girls” singer-songwriter, “all other shows” she has set for the summer — like Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C., Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco — “are still moving forward as planned.” She concluded her announcement by assuring fans, “See you soon 🤎.”

Monét last appeared at Coachella 2024 in April, where she played a medley of her hits during day three of both weekend sets. Following her performances, the mom of one posted a photo of herself onstage on her Instagram Stories and opened up about dealing with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) — a genetic, hormonal, metabolic and reproductive disorder that affects 1 in 10 women of childbearing age, with symptoms that include irregular periods, acne, infertility and weight gain.

“Welp.. I gained a lot of weight and it went a lot of places lol face, arms, tummy and most effectively… datassss,” Monét wrote, noting all the areas of her body that have been affected by PCOS.

“I usually am so critical and frustrated by it because PCOS has me really messed up, but optimistically at least now there’s two moons on the stage,” the R&B artist jokingly added with a crying face emoji.

Monét’s festival appearances come on the heels of her epic breakthrough year, all thanks to her Grammy-winning album, Jaguar II. The project earned the R&B songstress five 2024 BET Award nominations, including album of the year, best female R&B/pop artist, and video of the year for her hit song “On My Mama.”

She recently got a chance to celebrate her three career Grammy wins after her gramophones finally arrived in the mail on Tuesday, May 14. “They came!!🥲🥲🥲 thank you God!!! 🏆🏆🏆 I’ll cry or maybe even laugh a little every time I pass these in my home,” the “Alright” singer captioned an Instagram photo of the awards in front of the framed tweet where she manifested her wins.

“It’s an incredible reminder that when you want something, the only thing between you and that thing is time,” she added, “and if you’re willing to spend that time in your highest forms of hard work, passion, consistency and gratitude for the journey, your dreams will have no choice but to run to you!! 🤎✨”
