Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski Team Up to Host Nickelodeon's 2022 Kids' Choice Awards

Miranda Cosgrove and Rob Gronkowski are gearing up to take on the slimiest event of their lives.

Nickelodeon announced on Wednesday that the iCarly star, 28, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, 32, will team up to host this year's Kids' Choice Awards. The upcoming event will broadcast live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif., on April 9.

"We're going to be hosting the 2022 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards," says Cosgrove in an announcement video.

"So tune in April... I don't know, I forgot," Gronkowski says as Cosgroves provides the full date. "Oh, April 9th. Oh, I didn't forget. I was just tricking you guys because I got slimed earlier! You forget things after you get slimed!"

"See you there," adds Gronkowski.

Unlike past KCA events, the 2022 ceremony will feature "a night filled with 1,000 epic slimings and dozens of fun-filled pranks celebrating fan-favorite stars across the worlds of film, television, music, sports and more," a release states.

"Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards has always been such a unique show with tons of energy, superstars and of course, lots of slime," Cosgrove said in a statement. "Nickelodeon has always been my family and to co-host this iconic show alongside Gronk will be a blast!"

Added Gronkowski, "I've always been a kid at heart so co-hosting the slimiest award show of the year will be an extraordinary time for me. I'm looking forward to bringing the fun that I have on and off the field to kids at home!"

Nominations were also announced on Wednesday, many of which are first-time nominees, including, Olivia Rodrigo, Elizabeth Olsen, Doja Cat, Saweetie, Awkwafina and The Kid LaROI. There are several nominees who are leading the pack with four nods each, like Taylor Swift, Adele, iCarly, Danger Force, Cobra Kai, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

The 2022 Kids' Choice Awards will simulcast live on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon, TeenNick, Nicktoons and the Nick Jr. channel.
