There's a certain star power Julia Louis-Dreyfus emits — and even Lamorne Morris isn't immune to it.

The New Girl alum, 41, recalled meeting the actress at a pre-Emmys party recently with his sister, who he said is "obsessed" with Louis-Dreyfus, 63. So naturally, she dragged Morris over to meet the Veep star.

"She's like, 'We gotta go talk to her.' And I was like, 'No. Absolutely not.' Because nothing clever was coming to my mind, and I just thought, I wanna say something so stupid... I was gonna embarrass myself and that'll be it," Morris said on the Nov. 6 episode of Podcrushed.

Nervous Louis-Dreyfus would "look at me and hate me forever," Morris said his sister and the Seinfeld actress were having a "pretty fun, casual conversation" that he was "included" in, but once Louis-Dreyfus focused her attention on him, things went south.

"She asked me — I forget the question she asked me — but at that moment, I was done with the conversation, because I was like, there's nothing coming out," he said.

The Saturday Night actor was admittedly "panicking" and in response, did something he certainly has come to regret.

"I'm not joking — and I don't know why I did this. She asked me a question and I turned around and I just started walking in a different direction," Morris admitted. "My sister was like, 'Sorry about him.' Like, five minutes later, she comes and finds me, and she goes, 'The f--- was that?' I was like, 'I don't know.'"

He joked, "Some days, my brain is telling me, 'Just stay home. Don't talk to anybody.'"

Fangirl moments aren't exactly new for Morris, though, who, during his acceptance speech at the 2024 Emmys for outstanding supporting actor in a limited or anthology series for Fargo, gave a shoutout to fellow nominee Robert Downey Jr.

"My fellow nominee, Robert Downey Jr., I got a poster of you at my house," he said. "Please sign it. Seriously."

Aside from the Iron Man mention, Morris' heartfelt speech also saw him give credit to his "beautiful mother" who he said has "been my biggest champion," and also mentioned his 4-year-old daughter Lily.

"I told you I would do it. You always doubted me," he said, referring to the infamous video of his child making fun of him for crying when he learned of the nomination.
