Lacey Chabert is getting a Family for Christmas.

In this exclusive clip from her new film, Chabert stars as investigative journalist Hannah Dunbar – who wonders what would have happened if she chose love instead of her career.

So, with a little bit of Christmas magic, she wakes up one day to find herself married to the love of her life, Ben (Tyron Leitso), and mom to two little girls.

“[Hannah] looks back and realizes that it’s not about having regrets or feeling like she made the wrong decision,” Chabert explains. “There is no wrong decision, but [by] thinking about looking toward the future and being a little more open she learns to put her priorities in a different place.”

So how does the 32-year-old look back on the choices she’s made in her own life?

“I’m from Purvis, Mississippi – a town that I’m really proud to be from,” Chabert shares. “I love being from the South, and my roots will always be in the South, but sometimes I do wonder how my life would be and what my life would look like had I not gotten into the business at such a young age.”

She adds: “I say that with zero regrets. I am incredibly grateful for my life and my career, and I feel like I’m most certainly on the right path, but it’s kind of fun to sit around and think about how things would be different had I not moved to New York when I was a kid and had I not started acting.”

If Chabert wasn’t an actress, she says she’d be a “travel agent or a party planner.”

“I love planning things and I love to entertain. I love day-dreaming about trips that I want to take,” the Party of Five alum shares. “Whenever my family goes anywhere I’m always the one who’s booking everything, printing itineraries for everyone and making welcome packets – that’s just my kind of type-A personality.”

And would Chabert and husband David Nehdar – who tied the knot last year – like to start a family of their own someday?

“We absolutely would,” Chabert says. “I’m not exactly sure when, but I came from a big family, and I’ve always dreamed of having my own children and a big family [for] myself. So it’s definitely something of utmost importance to me – eventually though, not in a rush.”
