'DWTS' : Which Celeb Scored Well But Still Got Booted?

Pitbull was in the house to perform and guest judge on a night that Dancing with the Stars promised lots of “muy caliente” moments – that is, until the judges (and America) threw cold water on the latest ousted celebrity.

Though he earned an impressive 32 out of 40 for his jazz dance, Mean Girls star Jonathan Bennett was the newest star to leave the dance floor Monday.

“Here’s the thing,” explained Bennett. “I came here to do this show, to have fun, to have a really great experience and to bring life back into my life, and that’s what I did. I had the best time of my life.”

Here’s how the whole show – which included a stellar appearance by Leah Remini as a guest host – played out under the mirror ball:

Bennett and Allison Holker. The actor who started the night in jeopardy dressed very Men in Black–ish for a jazz dance with fancy lifts and cheerleader-like moves. “I was so proud of you!” exclaimed judge Julianne Hough. “That was the first time I saw Jonathan dance!” added judge Bruno Tonioli. “The man in black got his mojo back.” Score: 32 out of 40

Janel Parrish and Val Chmerkovskiy. Their samba packed a whole lotta heat – and apparently, a budding romance. “I thought you were a bit off balance,” said judge Carrie Ann Inaba. “I know a lot about passion, and when I looked at that I didn’t feel the passion,” said Pitbull. Score: 33

Tommy Chong and Peta Murgatroyd. The original stoner couldn’t keep up with his partner’s speedy moves during the foxtrot. He looked nice in a tux, though! “A little bit of mistakes here and there, but when we watch you dance, I feel the whole room get behind you,” said Inaba. Score: 28

Antonio Sabato Jr. and Cheryl Burke. It was a tough week for Burke – her Thailand-based dad has cancer – but their salsa was fun and action-packed. “It was fun out there, I wanted to dance. I had fun watching it,” said Pitbull. “You definitely take what we say and work on it,” added Hough. Score: 28

Sadie Robertson and Mark Ballas. The Duck Dynasty star performed a very grown-up rumba, despite worries that her “Christian values” would get in the way. “You are a sparkling little jewel of a dancer,” said Tonioli. “It was simple, but it was powerful,” added Pitbull. Score: 35

Lea Thompson and Artem Chigvintsev. The actress didn’t need to worry about pulling off an intricate salsa – she succeeded in wowing the judges (even though their comments didn’t reflect their actual scores). “I think you have to play to your strengths. You were trying to compete with someone else,” said Inaba. Score: 32

Michael Waltrip and Emma Slater. The race car driver performed a sweet Argentine tango that charmed the judges. “Tonight, I feel like I was watching a champion. You were composed,” said Inaba. “We were all really tough on you last week,” Hough said. “This was authentic tonight.” Score: 30

Bethany Mota and Derek Hough. The rehearsal package made Mota out to be a nervous Nellie, but she was nothing but a confident Carrie while doing the tango. “Straight down the line pure ballroom!” exclaimed Tonioli. “You were heading toward that 10 like nobody’s business,” added Inaba. Score: 36

Alfonso Ribeiro and Witney Carson. The injury-prone couple pulled off a pretty flawless salsa. “I’m just glad everybody is okay!” Hough said about his groin injury and the tweak in her back. “The rhythm is going to get you,” added Tonioli. “The rhythm got me!” Score: 39
