The Today Show anchors gathered with each other and their respective families to watch the total solar eclipse on Monday, April 8.

Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, Carson Daly, Sheinelle Jones, Dylan Dreyer and Jenna Bush Hager assembled outside the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Monday afternoon with their protective eclipse glasses in hand.

The official Instagram account of the morning show and Guthrie, 52, shared a collaborated post of a cute montage of the co-anchors and their children.

“We’re going to miss the eclipse because we’re eating.” 😂. @carsondaly keeping it so real,” read the caption.

Guthrie then shared a series of Instagram Stories of the co-anchors smiling wide at the sky with their protective shades. One of the Instagram Stories included Daly, 50, putting two glazed donuts over his eyes, mimicking the signature sunglasses.

Another included the NBC talent staring towards to sky, with Kotb, 59, and Daly pointing their arms up in the air in amazement, while an awestruck Hager Bush, 42, holds onto her glasses.

Meanwhile the official Instagram account shared a video of the group of seven lounging in the grass next to each other staring up at the sky.

In one of Guthrie’s later Instagram Stories, she shared a cute image of the dark sky over the Today journalists and their children. Some of those who were photographed were Kotb’s daughters, Hope, 4, and Haley, 7. Jones’ eldest son, Kayin, 14. Jones, 45, is also mother to 14-year-old Kayin and 11-year-old twins, Clara and Uche.

Daly’s four children – son Jackson, 14, and daughters Etta, 11, London, 9, and Goldie, 3 – were not spotted in any photos or video footage of the event. Nor were Bush Hager’s three children, Hal, 4, Poppy, 8, and Mila, 10, or Melvin’s kids, son Delano, 10, and daughter Sybil, 7.

The morning show anchors weren’t the only public figures who caught a glimpse at the eclipse. Brittany and Patrick Mahomes shared photos observing the event with their kids Sterling Skye, 3, and Patrick "Bronze" Lavon III, 16 months.

Kelly Osbourne also shared an Instagram on Monday of her and her partner Sid Wilson watching the event.

According to NASA, the next total solar eclipse will be in 2026, but North America will only see a partial eclipse.
