People Editorial Guidelines Published on October 3, 2024 11:00AM EDT Comments Nobody knows noodles like Nadia Caterina Munno. The cookbook author and social media star, known as the Pasta Queen online, is taking her love of Italian cuisine to the small screen with her travel series: The Pasta Queen. The Prime Video show will follow the chef to different regions of her home country and bring the lessons, ingredients and recipes back to her kitchen. PEOPLE has an exclusive first look at the new trailer ahead of the Oct. 24 premiere. It starts with Munno explaining that she is part of the “macaroni pasta dynasty." “Come on a journey with me through Italy and I will teach you how to cook like a real Italian," she says. 'The Pasta Queen' will premiere Oct. 24. Courtesy of Amazon Beautiful seaside and countryside scenes flash on the screen, giving a taste of what's to come. Just as beautiful as the scenery though are Munno's outfits. “Discover the beauty of the ingredients,” she says in one of many floral dresses. “It's about quality versus quantity.” During the season, she harvests some of her own ingredients and shows off traditions to the viewers — like 1,400-year-old mussel farming practices. After traveling, Munno invites viewers into her home so she can “teach you all my secrets so you can make these dishes in your kitchen.” The classic Italian dishes are all shared at a large dinner table with the Pasta Queen’s family members. Munno prepares classic Italian recipes for her family in each episode. Courtesy of Amazon Gnocchi, focaccia and lasagna are just a few recipes hinted at in the trailer, all of which have one key ingredient in common. “Do everything with a lot of love so the final result is gorgeous,” says Munno. “Just like you are.” Kardea Brown Announced as the New Host of Kids Baking Championship (Exclusive) Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human-interest stories. Munno’s pasta legacy stems from the 1800s when her family opened a pasta factory in Southern Italy, according to her website. Her social media presence as a pasta connoisseur kicked off in 2020 when she saw a “blasphemous” lasagna recipe on TikTok and felt that her “culture was being misrepresented.” That prompted her to post her family’s recipes online. Four years later, she has nearly 8.5 million followers on Instagram and TikTok. The Pasta Queen premieres Oct. 24 on Prime Video. Close
